About me

I am a London based guitarist, educator, and live performer working across musical theatre, function bands, session work, and private teaching.

Over the years, I have built a varied career that combines professional performance with a strong commitment to musical growth, preparation, and communication. I perform regularly in pit bands for musical theatre productions, play for weddings and corporate events with function bands, and teach guitar across schools and private settings in the UK.

As a performer, I bring a reliable and musical approach shaped by experience in live theatre and commercial events. My recent work includes guitar chair positions for productions such as We Will Rock You, alongside performances with function bands and live event projects where versatility, strong preparation, and professional presentation are essential. I am comfortable working across a wide range of styles and settings, always aiming to serve the music and the wider team around me.

Alongside my performing career, I am also an experienced guitar educator with a background in one to one tuition, school music services, and classroom support. I hold a PGCert in Performance Teaching from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, completed with Distinction, and my teaching is shaped by both practical experience and ongoing reflection on how people learn best. Whether working with beginners or more advanced players, I aim to help students build confidence, curiosity, and long term musical independence.

What connects all sides of my work is a belief in preparation, adaptability, and clear musical communication. Whether I am teaching a student, supporting a cast from the pit, or playing for a packed dance floor, my goal is the same: to bring professionalism, energy, and musical value to every project.

Through @EmisFearGuitar, I am continuing to grow a personal brand that reflects this wider journey as a guitarist and creative professional, sharing selected performance work, teaching insights, and behind the scenes moments from a career built around music.
